How Can Luminous Assist You?

At Luminous, I am dedicated to providing professional support to individuals and families from diverse cultural backgrounds and age groups, including iTaukei, Hindi, expatriate community members, and many more. I understand that each person’s journey is unique, and I am here to help those experiencing low moods, emotional difficulties, relationship changes, and challenges with children’s behavior.

Parenting and Family Support

I offer guidance to families facing challenges such as difficult behavior in young children or teenagers, sibling rivalry, lack of motivation, educational choices, and issues with following parental instructions. My aim is to empower families with effective strategies to foster a positive and nurturing environment. Whether you’re seeking parenting help for difficult behavior or looking for family counseling for behavior issues, I provide the support you need.

Counseling for Teens

Counseling services for teenagers focus on navigating the complexities of changing friendships, romantic relationships, academic pressures, sports involvement, feelings of overwhelm, bullying, and self-harm. I strive to provide a safe space for teens to express their feelings and develop healthy coping strategies.

Supporting Couples

I work collaboratively with couples to address communication issues, financial stress, mental health challenges, and conflict resolution. Whether you’re looking for marriage counseling, relationship counseling, or couples therapy, together we develop healthier negotiation strategies and work towards rebuilding trust and intimacy, fostering a stronger connection.

Working through Grief and Loss

At Luminous, I provide compassionate support for individuals dealing with the loss of a loved one or significant life changes. I help you find effective coping strategies as you navigate your healing journey, offering a supportive environment to process your feelings and experiences.

Privacy and Confidentiality

I operate under the guidance of a clinical supervisor and adhere to the Australian Counselling Association Code of Ethics, which includes handling records responsibly and securely.

Booking

To enhance the effectiveness of your counseling experience, many organizations worldwide recommend a series of six counseling sessions, scheduled one week apart. Before committing to this series, I invite you to consider a Discovery Session.

This session offers a relaxed environment for you to meet with me and discuss your goals and challenges. You’ll have the opportunity to ask questions, evaluate our connection, and gain a clearer understanding of the counseling process—all without the pressure of committing to a full series of sessions. This approach ensures that you feel comfortable and confident in your decision to move forward with counseling. Discovery Sessions are $60 per hour.

You have no obligation to join for additional sessions if you feel that counseling is not for you. If you feel that your Discovery Session is helpful, the evidence-based series of six sessions applies as below. Your discovery session payment can contribute towards your series:
